The people in the community of Rose Lake have come together providing a nice camp site.
There are grassy spots to erect a tent on, there are pit toilets, picnic tables
and a great covered area should the weather turn bad.

Rose Lake is a small, but beautiful lake to fish on, or you just
might like to paddle around the lake. In summer you can jump
in and go swimming or just lay back on a lawn chair and soak up the sun.

So if you are planning a trip that will take you by Rose Lake,
British Columbia make sure you stop by and take a break.

Rose Lake is an unincorporated community on the Yellowhead Highway in
the Bulkley Valley region of northwestern British Columbia, Canada.

It's name is derived from the nearby water body Rose Lake.
The community and the lake are along the northern mainline of the
Canadian National Railway just northeast of Bulkley Lake.

Above Photo: The old 1922 police building in Burns Lake, British Columbia.

The old police building in Burns Lake was built in 1922 and housed the jail and courthouse for the area up until the 1950’s.

The building later had a makeover and was turned into the newspaper office for the

In 1979 the old police building was declared to be a heritage building.

Burns Lake has a large variety of things to do while visiting, I always recommend that folks who are traveling to, or passing through should take time to stop at the Visitors Centre as you will be pleasantly surprised to hear just how much Burns Lake has to offer travelers.

For one thing, Burns Lake has 3000 miles of fishing in the Lakes District. This alone should have any fishermen’s mouth watering.

All I can say, is come and visit as you won’t be disappointed, as you will have lots to tell yours friends when you arrive back home.

Put Burns Lake at the top of your list when making holiday plans. Will see you around, travel safe and have a blast while holidaying in Burns Lake.
