In winter time we usually feed the birds, we hang up a few bird feeders and our feathered friends are in and out of them all day long picking up seed.
Well one day we looked out and saw a Deer feeding on the seed. His nose was in the snow, so I would imagine he was finding some seed.
In Houston the Deer do wander through town.
