Rose Lake British Columbia (Pictures)

On our way out to Burns Lake the other day my wife and I stopped at the Rose Lake camping site which is on the shore of Rose Lake and  along Highway 16.

The people in the community of Rose Lake have come together providing a nice camp site. There are grassy spots to erect a tent on, there are pit toilets, picnic tables and a great covered area should the weather turn bad.

Rose Lake is a small, but beautiful lake to fish on, or you just might like to paddle around the lake. In summer you can jump in and go swimming or just lay back on a lawn chair and soak up the sun.

So if you are planning a trip that will take you by Rose Lake, British Columbia, make sure you stop by and take a break.

Rose Lake is an unincorporated community on the Yellowhead Highway in the Bulkley Valley region of northwestern British Columbia, Canada.

It's name is derived from the nearby water body Rose Lake. The community and the lake are along the northern mainline of the Canadian National Railway just northeast of Bulkley Lake.

The area of Rose Lake is notable in the field of montane prominence, as it is the location of the divide between the Fraser and Skeena River basins such that the locality forms the prominence col for Mount Waddington, the highest peak completely within British Columbia.
