2010 Winter Olympics Torch Relay Houston British Columbia

Above Photo: The Cauldron was lit in Vancouver at the start of the 2010 Winter Games here in British Columbia.

On Saturday, January 30, 2010 at approximately 3:30 p.m. the people in the town of Houston came out in huge numbers to watch and to cheer on the folks carrying the 2010 Winter Olympics Torch.

I have added a few pictures below, and have tried to get the
video clip off of another blog with no success.

Also, if anyone else in Houston who was watching and filming the 2010 Winter Olympics Torch Relay and would like to add their photos/video footage to this page, just drop Brian Vike an email with attached photos and video footage and I will be happy to upload it to this page.

Source Information from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The 2010 Winter Olympics Torch Relay was a 106-day run, from October 30, 2009 to February 12, 2010, prior to the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Plans for the relay were originally announced November 21, 2008 by the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC).

Communities were initially informed in June 2008, but the locations were not announced for "security reasons".

Exact routes were later announced several weeks before the start of the torch relay.

I took the below photos when the person was carrying the Olympic Torch through Houston, British Columbia Canada.
